National Small Business Week

Every year since 1963, National Small Business Week has been recognizing the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.

More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and small businesses create about two-thirds of new jobs in the U.S. each year.

As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration highlights the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories.

Visit the National Small Business Week page for the latest news and events.

National Veterans Small Business Week

During National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW) the SBA celebrates veteran, service member and military spouse small business owners nationwide.

We highlight various aspects of the veteran business community, ranging from aspiring to current veteran and military business owners, as well as the organizations that provide entrepreneurial training.

Visit www.sba.gov/veterans for veteran business resources entrepreneurs.

Small Business Saturday

Saturday, November 28, 2020 is Small Business Saturday – a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities. This year, we know that small businesses need our support now more than ever as they navigate, retool and pivot from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Please join the SBA and organizations across the country in supporting your local small businesses by shopping at a small business.

Founded by American Express in 2010 and officially cosponsored by SBA since 2011, Small Business Saturday has become an important part of small businesses’ busiest shopping season. According to the 2019 Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey, 70% of U.S. consumers are aware of Small Business Saturday.

The highly successful team of SBA, Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), and American Express will be kicking off the 2020 holiday season by encouraging consumers to support  our nation’s nearly 32 million independent businesses this  Small Business Saturday  and all holiday season long.
